A new chapter AGAIN

My “I’m gonna be a famous Jewellery designer” days are behind me. Seriously how was I gona make a business wen all my competitors are using people overseas at a bargain price!

Anyways now “I’m gona be a high end wedding planner”. No harm in aiming high I guess. Doing a wedding planning course to help me get there too.

It was all going amazingly well, getting all A’s :). But then my long term relationship went down the garbage shoot.

Before I used to imagine myself going down the aisle with my dream man standing there with the look of pure joy in his eyes n it made me so happy. Now I get 1 line down n break down in tears. Pathetic!

Anyways, I now gota do this for myself. I’ve always been fine alone until Mr x came along n ill be fine again 🙂

Getting Ready For Valentines Day

I know a lot of people hate this day, but I LOVE it. Capital L-O-V-E love it. And im not just saying that cos I’ve had a boyfriend to celebrate the day with for the past couple of years, but i genuine love it.  

Way way before my boyfriend even came along I was giving my best friends and mummy a card every year. I’d go into town, buy myself something nice, chocolates, flowers and a little something for my loved ones.

I know it sounds sad, but its better then walking around on the day of love and giving all the loved-up couples evils.

My Rant Of The Day – STOP

Human trafficking is one of the greatest injustices on our planet today, and is second only to the drug trade as the largest criminal activity in the world.  And its on the rise. Did you no some one who traffics drugs is usually given a longer prison sentence then some one who traffics a real life human beings!  No wander this honorific crime is predicted to become the largest criminal activity. 

Im sure most of you know, but for you who don’t, Human Trafficking is the illegal trade of humans into slavery for sexual exploitation or forced labour.  According to the US State Department, an “estimated 600,000 to 820,000 men, women, and children are trafficked across international borders each year, approximately 80% are women and girls and up to 50 percent are minors.”  Nearly 2 million children around the globe are currently in forced sexual exploitation.

I believe we all need to do something to stop “the invisible” crime. We don’t see it our in every day lives but just round the corner could be a woman/child locked in a basement, only alive for the pleasure of their “owner”

Dessert Pasta

I no this sound odd n looks very yucky, but if u present it in a nicer way I promise ur gusts r so gona be impressed.

All u need is;
Cocoa pasta (smells like hot chocolate when cooking mmmmmm)
Butter
Pecan nuts
Dark brown sugar
Cream
Pinch of salt

1. Boil pasta with a pinch of salt.

2. Dry roasted pecan nuts and put then in a bowl.

3. Melt the butter and add the sugar. Stir until the sugar has melted n become caramelly.

4. Pour the cream in and stir.

5. Add the pecan nuts n stir.

6. Drain the cooked pasta and mix it all together.

Walle!

All the quantities I kinda guessed but was so good.

I’m gona try make the sauce into icing by adding icing sugar and whisking it. Wen I get round to it ill let ya all no how it turns out 🙂

New Years Resolutions

Ok, so were 2days into the year n I still ain’t made any ‘real’ New Years resolutions. Well apart from I have to find a job this year, but that’s more somin I’ve been trying to do anyway, so I thought I’d google for inspiration….

And so these are my “i no I ain’t gona keep New Years resolutions”:

1. Go on a diet n loose one stone by summer! (What a joke, I’m already planning on makin dessert pasta tomorrow)

2. go to the gym at least every other day! ( got no job, hence no money, hence bye bye gym membership)

3. Make more of an effort when leaving the house I.e. not to walk to my bf’s in my pj’s. lol.

4. Keep my bedroom nice n tidy! Hahahaha… That ones just laughable….. Ha!

Anyways im outa ideas so let me no what ur “i no I ain’t gona keep New Years resolutions” are n I mite add them to my list if they apply.

Started off jus giving a piece of wood a wash, then burning the image of the baby in with a soldering iron

Well, my name is Shruti n I’m a University graduate struggling to find work…I’ve resorted to takin wt ever I can get 😦

So thought y not turn a hobby into a business…so I’m trying, trying very hard. I make hand made jewellery. I’ve sold some, but not enough to classify it as a business.
